These two plates are in excellent condition, they have never been removed from their original boxes for display.  The paperwork enclosed includes the receipt for private prior market offer, the shipping invoice, a letter from the Director of Board of Governors for the Bradford Exchange, also included is a copy of a letter from Xu Liejun, Manager of China National Arts & Crafts. This letter announces that official permission had been granted from the government of the People's Republic of China to ship Pao-chai plates out of Ching-te Chen.  There is also a preliminary market analysis report dated 12/31/1986 stating this plate is positioned for rapid price appreciation due to the 115 firing days. "Pao-chai", the first plate issued in the Beauties of the Red Mansion in 1986. This was the first limited-edition plate ever produced in the birthplace of porcelain itself, the fabled city of Ching-te-Chen in the People's Republic of China. Made by Master Artisan Zhao Huimin.
